He graduated from Medical School at Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany M.D. (Medicine, Physiology) in 1974 and has been in the medical field ever since. His achievements include receiving the Humboldt Prize, Germany (1979), Prize for Young Inventors and Scientists, Germany (1981), and Research Prize, Immunological Research Foundation, Florida, USA (1993).
