What is PRP treatment?

Platelet-rich Plasma or PRP is known as a regenerative injectable medicine that uses the client’s platelets. Plasma is an element that is found in your blood containing proteins which help your blood to clot and boost cell growth. PRP is formed by separating the plasma from your blood and concentrating it.


How does PRP works?

Platelet-rich plasma or PRP is a 3-step procedure that involves having about 10-30mL of your blood drawn from your arm. It is then placed into a centrifuge machine that separates the platelets from the rest of your blood.

When PRP is injected into damaged tissues, your body is stimulated to grow new, healthy cells and in turn, stimulates healing. PRP will help to heal your injured problem areas much faster, including hair follicles, scarred areas, joints, and more! There is minimal to no downtime for PRP treatment.
You may encounter mild to moderate swelling, redness or heat immediately after injection at the areas that has been treated . As the injected PRP gets redistributed, these side effects will eventually subside.
Each session requires an average 60 minutes. A minimum of three PRP treatment sessions are usually recommended to clients, with an interval of 4 to 6 weeks between sessions. Collagen production may take up to three months in order for the effects to be noticeable.
