What is a Diathermy?

Diathermy is a safe and effective cosmetic procedure performed to treat skin problems such as skin tags and other benign skin lesions. Diathermy delivers blemish free, smooth skin, instantly. It is a simple procedure and does not require any stitches. It is used primarily for cosmetic treatment of the face, neck, shoulder, chest and back.


How does Diathermy work?

Diathermy involves the use of a high energy current. This combined with the water content in the treatment area will produce heat which destroys the lesion. The area to be treated is made numb by applying local anesthetic or in some cases ice packs.

The heat produced destroys the tissue of the lesion and the lesion disappears instantaneously.
